Truth, Lies & Propaganda

From Amazon:

Lucinda ‘fell’ into writing by chance, moving from radio to television, to running her own production company in South Africa. She lifts the lid on what really goes on behind the scenes in the media, often hilarious and not at all glamorous. She spent more time on rubbish dumps than in banqueting halls, although she got to meet many famous people.

Lucinda writes with charm. Literally. From the start of two decades of living in Africa, she had me laughing on almost every page. She has a knack in writing her memoirs with liberal, funny, and articulate prose. Each adventure brings out a host if challenges to overcome, which she does. With the script writing, working with people who wanted what was not in the budget, to adventures in arriving at the sets to be used, or creating a set, I loved it all. Lucinda has led a memorable life and I think she will have more stories to write about as she is visiting China at the moment.
