My Review: Endearing Book for kids for sure. I found this book to be completely endearing in my heart and soul. A child loses her father to heaven, but she finds out that he still lives in with her through memories. Five stars.

My Review:

First of all, this is a true five star read. The protagonist makes a few decisions that completely changes his life for all time. It’s always easy to look back in hindsight and know what one should have done, or not done, and changed the outcomes for each decision. God gave us free will. After having a bit too much to drink, decision making can lead to disaster, which the author found out first hand. Flying from England to Marbella, Spain for a new perspective on life was a good decision. We always make bad choices when under alcohol intoxication, and less often, by far, with a clear head. Needless to say, we are not perfect. Therefore, mistakes are made. The author endured a harrowing time in the span of a few short weeks. I felt repulsed by the two oranges and two cups of water in the jail given out each day – a sandwich would have been better. It’s inhumane to exist on two oranges a day. I thought that all the jailers cared about was preventing scurvy in those contained within. It took courage to rescue the woman from the window of the hotel on fire. It took courage to save the man. Other choices were made so fast that there wasn’t time to think those choices through. The reporter for the newspaper was asinine at best. He certainly got his headlines and either twisted or omitted words. He never would have been able to provide a lawyer type of vibe for the author, and David would have been imprisoned for things he didn’t do. Yes, he did some wrongs, but in no way were what really happened written about in the papers. That reporter was only in it for himself and his job. Highly recommend reading this story.
