My Review:

I loved this book. This is book four in this particular series. I’m always amazed with how Mettner can take a story and weave it around to fit in with, and affect all of the characters in one way or another. PTSD after war is tough. The members of Secure One are comprised of ex-special ops personnel and some of those they have saved or extracted from bad situations. In this story, the main characters are a woman with a baby trying to live and find her sister, the mother of the baby. The special ops character that falls in love with the main female character worked special ops and after a bad situation in the sandbox of h@@l, he loses his hearing to go along with the nightmares to come. The situation is tough, the love is consuming, and the team works together like a finely tuned or well-oiled machine.
