Editing Mock-Ups in Photoshop (In 12 Steps)

Yecheilyah's avatarThe PBS Blog

I didn’t plan on sharing this but as I was editing some mock-ups I thought it would be nice to share what I am doing.

I am not a professional photographer, and I don’t always have a chance to take professional images. Therefore, I love using free mock-up templates to create professional images of my books. I am learning Photoshop also because if I can master it, I can also start to create my own book covers! (OK, that’s a far way off but a sista can dream).

But, while I am finagling (am I the only one who thinks finagle is a funny word?) around with this, I decided to put together a quick tutorial on what I am doing for those of you who use Photoshop. It’s super easy and if you have Photoshop, you should be able to get started right away.

Digital Book Signing

Harmony Kent's avatarStory Empire

Hello SEers! Harmony here 🙂

Today, I’d like to take a look at how to offer autographs on your digital books using Authorgraph. Also, you can get this service embedded on your blog/website rather easily. How cool is that?

With Authorgraph, you can send, request, or receive author autographs. It’s easy to sign up (for FREE) using this link: https://www.authorgraph.com/signin

This takes you to a page that looks like this:

Once you’ve signed in, you have a few options:

You can add all of your ebooks, as long as you have them listed on the Amazon platform. You will need an Amazon ASIN for each book, which you can find in a number of places such as your KDP account books page or your book sales page. Once you have that, then input it as so …

And click on ‘Add Book’.

Repeat this for each of your Amazon ebooks.

Kudos… Sho nuff we found a wonderful cheer at TSF
which should be eulogized and sanctified… perhaps overboard,
but excellent yes. So a cheer for your cheering…

What is the spirit of TSF you would like to know?
Is there special quality which a fighter should show?
Be certain that there are not answers carved in stone,
just some common qualities which would be shown.

Harmony is a quality which cannot be constrained,
like a freight train whose speed cannot be detained;
Into the fray of the “fights” some time to spend,
thoughtful statements by fighter’s you always append.

The loyalty of your team will always be unbending,
and ventures into other teams turf will be unending;
In everyone you will always find a dear friend,
acts of compassion will never prove to be a dead-end.

The joy of unleashing a valiant stab at prose,
you never tire of poetry which you try to compose;
Of the humble spirit of loosing you are not surprised,
and of cheer you always think it should be eulogized.

God Makes All Things New

Margaret from soulfood101blog's avatarThe Word

I was thinking about how amazing God really is.

I was looking out at some rose bushes I had planted, years and years ago, and after some improper pruning, well they were just dying. So, early this year I went out and cut them all the way to the ground.

I said a prayer to God which pretty much went like this, “Well Lord, if You want these to live, You’ll have to fix them because I certainly made a mess of trying to fix them myself. 20170502_143356-1Only You can, if it’s Your will. I love You. Amen.”

A couple of weeks ago, these little beauties took off. I mean I had literally cut them down even with the ground. Slowly new branches formed. Then came the leaves, and now I have beautiful blooms bursting out all over.

God can do everything.

He can take anything , that to us seems like a…

3 Ways to Write a Character You Hate

theryanlanz's avatarRyan Lanz

by Kathryn

Now, when I say ‘characters you hate’, I don’t mean villains.

In fact, some of my favorite characters in pieces I’ve written and read have been villains.

What I mean when I say ‘characters you hate’, is the characters who are reprehensible pieces of crap who also (unfortunately) serve a significant purpose to the storyline.

It’s not easy to write them. That’s established.
