Review: Good Morning Diego Garcia

Susan Joyce has and adventures and then some in her memoir, Good Morning Diego Garcia. Some of those experiences include local cuisines, and her cooking is unbelievable as she has learned so much using exotic herbs and spices. Her memoir is a touching tribute of the amazing travel stories with her husband. They made plans on their travels but then life happens, and one must do what they can. I loved how she wrote about life in Sri Lanka, and she writes detailed descriptions of the places she has been. I was intrigued by the boating adventures when traveling from Sri Lanka to the Seychelles and beyond to other places. Susan’s beliefs help her and her husband along the way. The sentences are well written and the places written so well that I felt I was actually there! Solid five stars from me!

My Review of: Finding Gina by Lizzie Chantree

I found “Finding Gina” to be a nice romance read combined with humor, and I was compelled to read it to the end! Not all books grab my attention like this one did so that. Itself, garners stars from me. The protagonist, stuck in her past, discovers that her future is what she chooses to make of it. I felt like I was right there, in many places, and maybe drinking a spot of tea myself while reading each paragraph. At times this book was whimsical, and I think that some areas could have been left out, and the story would be strengthened by doing so, without taking anything away from the story itself. Since I can’t give the book four and a half stars, and due to my reaction, being compelled to read it to the end, I must give five stars!

This story book teaches children about camping, boating safety, and it also illustrates why children should always listen and learn from the adults in their lives.

S. Jackson’s second book in their new Shadow series, “Shadow and Friends Go Camping” was an enjoyable read from page one! I As I read this book, I could feel a smile on my face,
at the antics of one small dog and her squirrel friends. I will read this story again and again to my grandchildren. This would make a wonderful children’s story for my church. Thank you for your efforts in making this a such a lovely book, and the graphics are awesome…
